Evangelism is not only an activity but also a calling. In Scripture, the office of the evangelist is one of the fivefold ministries given to the church. This week we explore what the Bible says about the role and responsibilities of an evangelist.

2 Timothy 4:5 (KJV)
"But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry."
Ephesians 4:11–12 (KJV)
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
