Week 6: Prayer for the Lost

Interceding for Specific People - God's Heart for All to Be Saved

📋 Introduction

Prayer is not only for our own strength but also for the salvation of others. God's heart is that all people should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. This week we focus on interceding for the lost.

📖 Key Scriptures

1 Timothy 2:1–4 (KJV)
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."
Romans 10:1 (KJV)
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved."

🤔 Reflection Questions

• Why should we pray for the salvation of specific people?
• How does Paul's heart for Israel reflect the heart of God for the lost?
• Who are the people in your life that need prayer and evangelism?

🎯 Activities

• Each participant should write down a list of people they will pray for and seek to evangelise.
• Then, in pairs, pray for those who are not yet saved.

🎯 Closing and Dedication

• Ask: What have you learned today about the role of prayer in evangelism?
• Challenge: Commit to pray for 30 days for a specific person and seek opportunities to share the Gospel with them.
• End with a united prayer, asking God to use you as evangelists.
